Silverdale Papershop moves to Village Pantry overnight

g2b are happy to report that the uncertainty hanging over the 2 Silverdale stores has now been resolved.

From today, Wednesday 24th March, the Silverdale News has relocated to the former Village Pantry, leaving the original newspaper shop on Emesgate Lane empty. Green2blue have been assured that the new shop will continue to serve Silverdale village with the same services as it always has, primarily Newspapers and magazines and a select range of ice cream, confectionary, greetings cards and tobacco, so no need for panic.

Monday, 22/03/2010

Green2Blue has today heard that Silverdale's The Village Pantry has been closed pending redevelopment. It is understood that the main core of The Newsagents possibly Newpapers, Ice cream etc are going to be transferred to the Village pantry next to The Royal Hotel.

It remains to be seen which parts of each shop will survive. g2b are saddened to hear the news and wish them every success in their new venture.

Keeping Silverdale alive

Silverdale village needs a classy cafe / coffee shop / ice cream bar, a place where locals and visitors to the AONB village can relax and unwind whilst 'putting the world to rights'.
