A new lease of life for the Silverdale Co-op 'The Cooperative Silverdale'

The Silverdale Co-op has at last been finally revitalised, meaning a complete refit with a modern design and extended opening hours, a first for Silverdale, Lancashire.

Last year talks broke down due to indecisiveness from 'The Cooperative' on whether to go with the complete refurb, this threatened the whole project, however it was decided Winter 2009 that the Silverdale Co-op refurb should go ahead, this meant the people of Silverdale had to make do with a temporary version while renovations went ahead, this lasted just over 3 months.

The refurbished store re-opened on February 25th looking like a completely different shop, the new Co-Op now has Opening hours from 8am till 10pm, 7 days a week.

As you would expect the new shop has a whole new range of services including instore bakery, longer opening hours and larger ranges of fresh and frozen food, alcoholic drinks, tobacco and deli.
